Congregation Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem

is engaging in a unique opportunity this coming Shmitah year. In addition to learning about Shmitah – its significance, history, blessings and impact - we will be partnering with a farm in Israel to support the observance of Shmitah by the farmers of Israel.

Together, we will sponsor the keeping of Shmitah in Israel, and share in this special Sabbatical year mitzvah and its blessings. With our help, this year will see over 51% of the agricultural land in Israel observing the mitzvah of Shmitah!

TBDJ’s name will be inscribed on a sign at the farm we partner with, and throughout the year we will forge a new bond with its farmers and families, connecting with them online in order to learn from them, share with them, strengthen them, and be inspired by them.

All donations are tax-deductible and all donors will receive a Canadian charitable tax receipt.
