A few weeks ago Rabbi Markowitz, a representative of Keren Hashviis, explained the z’chus and importance of our partnering with the farmers of Eretz Yisroel in their kiyum of the mitzvah of Shmitah.

Under the guidance and encouragement of our Rov, Rabbi Apter Shlita, we will attempt to be mekayim this wonderful mitzvah as a kehilah by purchasing an entire field in Eretz Yisroel.

Together, we will sponsor the keeping of Shmitah k’halacha on a Farm in Eretz Yisroel. In the process all participants will acquire the zechus and bracha of observing Shmitah k’halacha themselves.

Normally, All contributions of $1200 and above (ex. $100 per month), receive a halachic and legal partnership in the farm for the year of Shmitah, and receive a personalized certificate with the participants family name and the name of the Farmer, attesting to the partnership. We have arranged that if we can collect the minimum amount to purchase a farm, $30,000, then all participants will receive a personalized shtar of ownership in this field, no matter how much they donated.

Our Kehilla name will be inscribed on a sign at the farm. All interested in a tour of the KZM farm in Eretz Yisroel are welcomed to do so.

Please give generously so that we can be mekayim this mitzvah in its purest form while showing our brothers in Eretz Yisroel how much we admire and appreciate their adherence to Mitzvas H’aaretz.
